A brilliant turquoise pair with discus fry. Blue/turquoise discus breeding
pairs get darker in color when they spawn and raise fry. The fry are attracted to the
dark color
of their parents and then feed off of their dark sides.
Both parents produce
a nutritious slime
on their sides that their fry can eat.
It's important
to start feeding the
discus fry
baby brine shrimp after 4 days of free swimming. The fry can actually kill their
parents
by eating holes into their sides, causing a fatal infection if they don't get enough food. |
